Using Spendee is free, but to get the most out of it, you should look for a subscription plan that suits your needs the best. In the free plan, you're limited to one budget, one wallet, and one label. But there's more to discover!

We offer two types of subscription, Plus & Premium:

Even though Spendee Premium is the ultimate plan that unlocks all present & future features, some people don’t need a bank connection and sync. That’s the ultimate difference between these two plans: with Premium, you can connect your bank accounts. With Plus, you unlock great organizational features, but you track your money manually. ✅ Here are 8 reasons why we love Spendee Plus ➕

1 Manual Control

If you’re a control freak (in the best way possible!) you probably prefer inserting your transactions manually. This way, you can always be on top of everything and organize your finances how you want. The features that come with a plus plan will allow you to create perfect order and organize your life.

2 Mindful Spending

Manual control means more mindful spending. Now, you will think twice before making that purchase. Because you need to take the extra step of adding a new transaction to Spendee, it’s more likely that you save more money by buying only things that you truly need or that bring you joy.

3 Cheapest Option

Plus subscription is way cheaper than buying a Premium — so if you are not planning on using a bank connection, it’s a bargain! Plus subscription is 14.99$ for a year, which is what you would pay for one lunch going out. A lifetime subscription is a great and affordable option if you’re sure that you won’t be using bank connections in the future:

4 Unlimited Labels

Labels add more in-depth information about your transaction, which you can later use in your money analysis. But that’s not everything: we just LOVE how cute they look and how variable they are. 😏 You can make them anything you want. These are some of our favorite ways to use them:

This or That

Apply this concept to any two pairs you want to track. Let’s say you travel by cabs often — you could track a label called “Taxi🚕” with a label called “Uber🚗”. This way, it’s more distinguished than just Transport. If you’re a coffee-lover, you could track “Coffee Out ☕️” vs. “Coffee Beans” you make at home. There are so many different ways to apply the same principle.

Names of Shops, Restaurants & Cafés

If you’re shopping for groceries 🥐 in different shops, you can use hashtags with the names of the branches & analyze where you spend more or where you have more transactions. It could be a fun thing to do with restaurants close to your work as well!

Names of People

When buying gifts or inviting someone out, labels are helpful to see who you spend the most on! Better not show it to your friends, as they might get jealous! 😜 Use Labels such as “BFF👭” or “Mom” or “David” to label your expenses.

Means of Transport

When categorizing your transport (for example on your vacation) you can use Labels for “Train 🚂”, “Bus 🚌”, “Boat ⚓️”, “Plane ✈️” or anything else. These divisions can be also used to clothes to determine whether you spend the most on accessories, shoes, purses or T-shirts. Turn on your creativity!

Vacations or Work Travel

Speaking of holidays… if you’re going on a vacation or taking a short work trip, just create a Label for that occasion. Did you spend more in “Bali 🏖” or “Hawaii 🌋”? Personally, we recommend adding a year to the name as well.

Type of Meal

Use “Breakfast 🥐”, “Lunch 🍝” or “Dinner 🍕” to label your transactions in the Food & Drink category. You will be able to find out in which subcategory you’re spending too much, thus making it easier to see where you can save some money.

Type of Entertainment

How much did you spend last month on “Cinema 📽”, “Concert 🎤” or in a “Theatre 🎭”? It’s good that you’re not just sitting at home, but actually getting nice memories. Don’t forget to do it responsibly and track it!

Cash or Card

If you are still not sure whether you want to connect your bank account to Spendee, you can use hashtags to distinguish which transactions you paid by “Cash 💵” and which ones by “Card 💳”.

5 Unlimited Wallets

Using different wallets for different purposes might help you gain better control over your expenses. You might want to have a special wallet for non-daily expenses, cash, different accounts, or different currencies. Here are some interesting ways how to use multiple wallets:

Tracking your investments 📈

If you have your investments on a platform that’s not supported by Spendee, you can create a new wallet and set the starting balance to what you currently have on your account. 💰 You can change this balance depending on how successful your investments are, and you can also transfer your money to this account each time you dedicate some of your income to savings!

Organizing different occasions 🏝

If you don’t want to label your transactions and prefer to have everything under control, you can set up a wallet that’s dedicated to your next trip. ✈️This way, you can see how much money you spent on different activities and have your holiday finances separate.

Living abroad 🌏

Are you moving for a while? Create another wallet in a different currency! After your trip ends, you can simply hide the wallet from your Spendee while keeping the data. 👀

6 Unlimited Budgets

Budgets in Spendee help you save money! They’re simple — decide how much you want to spend in a given period and for which category. We’ll help you stick to it. 💪 Budgets are always set as recurring, thus you can easily compare current and previous periods and see how much you are improving. Start with these four budgets:

Budget for Everything 💰

Create a budget that includes every spending category and set it to 80% of your net income. This way, you can save 20% each month as it is recommended.

Budget for 50/30/20 🏡

Set 50% of your net income for mandatory expenses, like accommodation, food, or utilities and 30% of your net income for personal expenses like shopping or entertainment. Follow our budgeting 101 guide to make it easy.

Budget for one specific category 🍣

Create a budget for a category where you should be spending less. For many, it’s usually eating out or shopping. Follow this guide to find how big your budget should be for a specific category.

7 Shared Wallets

Spendee is not only about managing your own personal finances. 😉 The Shared Wallet feature helps you manage your family’s finances, too! 🙌 Inviting members is easy and you can invite as many members as you want. Only the owner needs to be on the subscription plan, guests can use the free version!

Shared wallets are great for couples who want to track their shared expenses or incomes, it could be used by roommates who want to track shared expenses for accommodation, or simply by friends who are going on a holiday together and want to track who pays for what during the trip.
